Fat Boy's Backyard BBQ & More

First time eating at Fat Boys today. Just traveling through and needed a good place for lunch. It was outstanding. I had ribs, baked beans and loaded baked potato. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and needed no sauce. The loaded baked potato was almost like a whole twice baked potato. There actual pieces of bacon in it. My buddy had 2 whole catfish, Cole slaw and loaded baked potato. The catfish were perfectly done and rather large fish. Unless you are starving, don't get the 3 fish plate. That could feed 2 people. Our waitress was perfect. Didn't constantly bug us but refilled our drinks as we needed them. The whole staff was just plain great. If I am evar back in the area for lunch, I will return to Fat Boys. Highly recommend this place.

Some times during the week I will order a pound of pork to take home and make sandwiches with. They have good solid BBQ that tastes real good. I dont do alot of going in there and eating but the times I do, it seems to be delicious food. I don't have a problem with this place. It is good BBQ. You have to be careful that golden BBQ will stick will stick to the counter. It's quite tasty.

This is my first time at Fat Boy’s BBQ, but I’ve had a lot of people recommend it to me. I can see why. This comfy, salt of the earth, no frills, generous portion, expertly prepared dining experience not only filled our bellies but filled our hearts. An elderly man was having his birthday meal next to us and his waitress not only knew it was his birthday, but sat down to visit with him to make sure he was having a good day. She also walked him out to the car and came back in with tears in her eyes for how much she cared for that gentleman. This is a place filled with food made with love cooked and served by a staff that actually care about the people who patronize their establishment. I wholeheartedly recommend the next time you’re in the Sylvester, GA area to give it try.

What a great meal. Loaded baked potato. I choose pork. It was with bacon, sour cream, cheese, onions. Added bbq sauce when it arrived to table. It was fast service. Great atmosphere.

I ordered the lunch pork plate $9.99. Food was very good overall. The chopped pork, slaw, and even the toast were above average. The green beans not so much - would not order them again. It was nice to have real table service - not order at a window and then sat down like you get in most BBQ places. Service was a little slower than expected but the server was great once she got to me. The slaw was some of the best I have ever had at a BBQ place. I would definitely go back again.

Stopped in while traveling. Food was excellent, portions were large. Service was fast, friendly and helpful. Restaurant and facilities were very clean. Would definitely eat here again. I had the Chipped Pork BBQ and my husband had the smoked half Chicken. We both had fries. I had baked beans and he had cheese grits. Saw some fried pork chops - will try them next time.

Everyone should eat here at least once im their lives. Lol. Delicious food.
